We share videos (which take a veritable mountain of unpaid work to produce) with you for free under these terms: CC BY-NC-SA, i.e. a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Canada 2.5 licence. What does this mean? Simply that you’re welcome to use our stuff but we do ask one thing: please explicitly attribute each work you use to “Team ODTV” with a link to http://odtv.me/. Thanks in advance for respecting this attribution requirement.
If you would like to embed one of our videos on your site, please consider providing a link to the video here at odtv.me. We ask that you please don’t mooch our Cachefly bandwidth, because we’re trying to steward that resource carefully for the person who generously offered to share it with us in the first place: Leo. One final point. If something we’re doing doesn’t strike you as fair, don’t fester: write to kiwinerd explaining your position. I’m typically open to new ideas, but I do need to hear a cogent argument behind a suggestion. I and others on Team ODTV work really hard to provide fans with a community service in an ethical fashion, which includes seeking clear permission for every show. We always respect Leo’s wishes if he doesn’t want something put up, and the same goes for other show co-hosts or guests. Very occasionally, I (as manager) will even exert editorial veto in the general direction of human decency, if I think it’s called for. Trying to keep the climate decent in the face of human imperfection seems like a laudable goal to shoot for.
